The details
| Shiny | Arena Club |
| Buy $10,000 of packs, sell every card back | About $10,000 back on average (100% expected value × 100% buyback, zero fees) | Can't be worked out: Arena Club doesn't publish pack EV, and its offer nets 90% of each card's estimated value |
| Instant buyback | 100% of market value with zero fees on zero-fee packs | 100% of estimated value minus a 10% app fee (net 90%) |
| Full Pack Fairness Replay | Yes: your Roll History shows every card in the pool with its exact roll range, where your roll landed, and the cards just above and below it (kept 30 days) | None published |
| Who controls the randomness | drand, a public randomness beacon run by ~15 independent organizations (League of Entropy). Shiny doesn't run it and can't know or change your roll | Not published |
Arena Club's standard offer nets 90% of a card's estimated value after its 10% fee; Shiny's zero-fee packs pay 100% with no fee, and $10,000 of packs returns about $10,000 on average. Before you buy, Arena Club shows which cards are in a pack and their hit rates but not what they're worth, and it doesn't publish expected value, so you can't tell whether a pack is priced fairly. Shiny publishes every card's value, the pack's expected value and the odds, and its Full Pack Fairness Replay shows exactly where your roll landed. We found no published way to verify an Arena Club draw.
